Out of bounds (Rule 27 –1) 

  1. Beyond all boundary fences and walls.

On or over the main driveway.
On or over the white marker posts to the right of the 9th green.
On or over the white marker posts to the right of the 18th fairway.
On the car park.

On the practice putting green


Water hazards (Rule 26)
Lateral water hazards identified by RED marker posts
Water hazards identified by YELLOW marker posts


Stones in bunkers (Rule 24 – 1) 
Stones in bunkers are MOVABLE obstructions. 


Immovable obstructions (Rule 24 – 2)
Protective Fences are immovable obstructions. Hole 17 – If your swing is affected by the fence (not the trees) you get a free drop away from the fence or in the drop zone.


Protection of young trees (identified by stakes)  (Rule 24 – 2b)
If such tree interferes with a players stance and/or the area of his/her intended swing, the ball may be lifted, without penalty, and dropped in accordance with the procedure described. The ball may be cleaned when lifted.


Putting greens
 Any ball lying on a putting green, other than the one to which the ball is being played, including all winter greens, MUST be lifted and dropped within one clubs length from the nearest edge of the green, not nearer the hole.


Bridges & paths
 A ball lying on any purpose built path, may be lifted and dropped without penalty within one club length of the nearest point of relief, no nearer the hole.
A  ball  lying on a bridge, within the markers identifying the water hazard, relief may be taken under penalty of 1 Shot


Integral part of the course (Rule 28)
The wall in front of the green on the 11th hole is deemed an integral part of the course by the committee. Therefore, the ball is to be played as it lies. Relief can be taken from the wall under penalty of 1 stroke. 


Manholes & sprinkler heads
If a  ball is lying on, or the players stance is affected by any manhole or sprinkler head. The ball may be lifted and dropped, without penalty, within one club length of the nearest point of relief, but no nearer the hole.


Embedded ball
If if abnormal ground conditions are deemed by the committee, then the embedded rule (25-2) is extended to all parts of the course. Ball to be cleaned and dropped within 1 club length no nearer the hole on areas other than closed mown areas through the green.


 Tractor tyre marks
A ball lying in the tyre marks of a tractor and/or the players stance is affected by the marks, the ball may be lifted, cleaned and dropped without penalty within one club length of the nearest point of relief, no nearer the hole.
